The San Francisco 49ers emerged victorious in a thrilling divisional-round matchup against the Green Bay Packers, securing a 24-21 win and advancing to the NFC championship game. Despite a dominant performance by the Packers for most of the game, the Niners rallied back to seal the victory.

The game, held in Santa Clara, Calif., saw the Packers outplay the hosts for a significant portion of the matchup. Led by quarterback Jordan Love, Green Bay held a 21-17 lead with less than 7 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. However, a missed 41-yard field goal by rookie kicker Anders Carlson provided an opening for the 49ers to make a comeback.

In a crucial 5-minute, 11-second touchdown drive, quarterback Brock Purdy and the Niners offense rallied, ultimately leaving the Packers with just 67 seconds on the clock to mount a comeback. Love started off the final drive well, completing two of his three pass attempts for a first down. However, under immense pressure, Love threw a game-ending interception, reminiscent of a throw made by legendary Packers quarterback Brett Favre.

Despite the tough loss, the Green Bay Packers showed promise with Love under center. The young quarterback had performed exceptionally well in the latter half of the season, earning the highest PFF grade for his position from Week 12 to the wild-card round.

The San Francisco 49ers will now advance to their fourth conference championship game in five seasons. They will face either the Detroit Lions or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their next matchup, scheduled for next Sunday.

Though quarterback Brock Purdy did not have his best performance, he delivered when it mattered most. Purdy completed 23 of his 39 passes for 252 yards, including an impressive touchdown pass to George Kittle. However, he also had two turnover-worthy plays and missed crucial throws. Nevertheless, Purdy led his team on a decisive 12-play, 69-yard touchdown drive that secured the victory.

On the defensive side, 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw stood out with two interceptions against Jordan Love. Greenlaw showcased excellent tackling skills, amassing nine solo tackles and three defensive stops. He consistently arrived first at the ball carrier, making a significant impact on the game.

Rookie Karl Brooks of the Green Bay Packers also made a notable contribution, recording five pressures across 16 pass-rush snaps. This resulted in an impressive pressure rate of 31.3% and a PFF pass-rush grade of over 80.0.

The San Francisco 49ers will now prepare for their upcoming NFC championship game, as they aim to secure a spot in the Super Bowl. With a hard-fought win against the Packers, the Niners have their sights set on achieving postseason success once again.
