In an effort to bolster their offensive coaching staff, the New Orleans Saints are poised to hire Klint Kubiak as their new offensive coordinator once the Super Bowl concludes. The Saints have been without an offensive coordinator since parting ways with Pete Carmichael after the regular season.
Kubiak, who currently serves as the passing game coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers, emerged as the top choice for the Saints earlier this month. Multiple reports now indicate that both parties are nearing the finalization of their agreement, with an official announcement expected after Sunday's game.
Having joined the 49ers in 2023, Kubiak has been instrumental in developing their passing game. Before his stint with San Francisco, he held the same position while also coaching quarterbacks for the Denver Broncos in 2022. Prior to that, Kubiak served as the offensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings in 2021, working alongside his father Gary Kubiak in both Minnesota and Denver.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, the Saints have further plans to revamp their offensive coaching staff. They are also expected to bring in Andrew Janocko as quarterbacks coach and John Benton as the offensive line coach. These hires are expected to be solidified once Kubiak officially joins the organization.
The addition of Klint Kubiak and the impending hires of Janocko and Benton are anticipated to inject new energy and creativity into the Saints' offensive strategies. As New Orleans looks to bounce back from a disappointing end to the regular season, these coaching changes aim to maximize the potential of the team's offensive talents and reignite their potency on the field.
With the Super Bowl drawing to a close, Saints fans eagerly await the official announcement of Klint Kubiak as their new offensive coordinator and the subsequent additions to their coaching staff.
