In a Monday press conference, New Orleans Saints head coach Dennis Allen provided updates on the injuries sustained by three key players during Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings. The team faced concerns over the status of quarterback Derek Carr, wide receiver Michael Thomas, and cornerback Marshon Lattimore.

According to a report from ProFootballTalk (PFT), Carr has managed to avoid a serious right shoulder injury. Coach Allen confirmed this news, stating that Carr's shoulder "checked out fine." However, his return to action will depend on his progress through the concussion protocol. The team anticipates making a decision regarding Carr's availability after the bye week.

Meanwhile, wide receiver Michael Thomas left Sunday's game with a knee injury. Coach Allen acknowledged that Thomas' injury is fairly significant, but fortunately, he is not expected to miss the remainder of the season. The team will provide further updates on Thomas' status for the upcoming Week 12 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons next week.

Additionally, cornerback Marshon Lattimore was knocked out of the game due to an ankle injury. Coach Allen announced that Lattimore's injury, similar to Thomas', is also considered fairly significant. However, he reassured fans that Lattimore is not expected to be sidelined for the rest of the season. Like with Thomas, updates on Lattimore's progress and availability will be provided next week ahead of the game against the Falcons.

It is worth noting that the Saints will not be issuing any injury reports during their bye week. Therefore, fans will have to wait until next week for updates on the status of Carr, Thomas, and Lattimore. The team is hopeful that these key players will be able to return to the field and make a positive impact in the crucial upcoming matchup against the Falcons in Week 12.
