In the ongoing search for their next head coach, the Tennessee Titans have recently conducted a virtual interview with Raiders interim head coach Antonio Pierce. The interview took place on Saturday, marking the third interview in the Titans' head coaching process.
Antonio Pierce took over as interim head coach for the Raiders in 2023 after the team parted ways with Josh McDaniels mid-season. Under Pierce's leadership, the Raiders achieved a strong record of 5 wins and 4 losses.
Pierce has an extensive coaching background, starting his career as a high school head coach at Long Beach Poly in California. He later joined Arizona State as a linebackers coach and recruiting coordinator in 2018. During his time at Arizona State, Pierce steadily rose through the ranks and eventually became the Assistant Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator.
Prior to transitioning into coaching, Pierce had a successful playing career in the NFL as a linebacker, representing the Washington Football Team and the New York Giants.
The Titans' search for a new head coach has seen them interview several promising candidates. In addition to Antonio Pierce, the team recently conducted interviews with Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan and Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka on Friday.
The search for a new head coach is crucial for the Tennessee Titans as they aim to build upon their recent successes. With the completion of the interview, the team will now evaluate all the candidates and make a decision that aligns with their organizational goals.
As the Titans continue their head coaching search, football fans and analysts eagerly await the announcement of who will lead the team into the future.
