The New England Patriots' search for a new offensive coordinator continues to expand, with the latest addition being San Francisco 49ers passing game specialist Klint Kubiak. According to a report by Sports Illustrated's Albert Beer, Kubiak, 36, has emerged as a potential candidate for the position.

Kubiak has built his coaching career exclusively on the offensive side of the ball, gaining valuable experience at both the collegiate and professional levels. He has had stints with the Minnesota Vikings and the Denver Broncos in the NFL, serving as quarterbacks coach for the Vikings in 2019 and 2020. In 2021, he was promoted to offensive coordinator before moving on to the Broncos, where he held the position of quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator.

Having grown up in a football family, with his father being Super Bowl-winning coach Gary Kubiak, Klint Kubiak brings with him a wealth of knowledge and insights. His recent assignment as passing game specialist for the San Francisco 49ers, working under the guidance of head coach Kyle Shanahan, further strengthens his resume.

Interestingly, Kubiak is the second assistant from the 49ers' staff to be considered for the offensive coordinator role in New England. Joining him is tight ends coach Brian Fleury, adding to the growing list of potential candidates.

Among the other names on the list of candidates are Rams' tight ends coach Nick Caley, Texas' QB coach Jerrod Johnson, Panthers' offensive coordinator Thomas Brown, Lions' passing game coordinator Tanner Engstrand, former Bears' offensive coordinator Luke Getsy, and Raiders' pass game coordinator Scott Turner.

The Patriots remain determined to thoroughly evaluate all available options as they seek to fill the important role of offensive coordinator. With the addition of Klint Kubiak to the list of potential candidates, the search has now expanded to double digits, highlighting the team's commitment to finding the best fit for the position.

As the process continues, one can only speculate on who will ultimately be selected to lead the Patriots' offense, but it is evident that the team is leaving no stone unturned in their quest to find the right candidate.
