GREEN BAY - In a thrilling contest at Lambeau Field on Sunday, the Green Bay Packers managed to secure a hard-fought 23-20 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Packers, now boasting a 4-6 record, emerged victorious thanks to a 24-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Jordan Love to wide receiver Romeo Doubs with just 2 minutes and 33 seconds left in the game. This was Love's second touchdown pass of the matchup.

However, Green Bay's defense had to step up in the final moments to secure the win. Linebacker Rashan Gary delivered a crucial third-down sack, while defensive lineman Kenny Clark batted down the Chargers' fourth-and-1 pass with only 23 seconds left on the clock, sealing the victory for the Packers.

While the Chargers had their chances, drops by their pass catchers, including a missed deep shot for wide receiver Quentin Johnston, hindered their scoring opportunities. Additionally, a fumble by running back Austin Ekeler inside the 5-yard line earlier in the fourth quarter cost the Chargers a potential scoring drive.

Despite squandering several scoring chances themselves, the Packers' offense was led by the impressive performance of Jordan Love. Love completed 27 of his 40 pass attempts for 322 yards, two touchdowns, and a passer rating of 108.5. This marked Love's first 300-yard passing game of his career and the first by a Packers quarterback since Aaron Rodgers in December of 2021.

Wide receiver Romeo Doubs was a standout target for Love, making five catches for 53 yards and a touchdown. Dontayvion Wicks also contributed with three catches for 91 yards, while Christian Watson caught Love's other touchdown pass. Running back A.J. Dillon stepped up in the absence of Aaron Jones and Emanuel Wilson, leading the team in rushing yards with 29 on 14 carries.

On the Chargers' side, quarterback Justin Herbert completed 21 of his 36 passes for 260 yards, two touchdowns, and a rating of 99.3. Herbert also showcased his versatility, leading the game in rushing with eight scrambles for 73 yards. Wide receiver Keenan Allen had a strong performance, making 10 catches for 116 yards and a touchdown, despite a couple of costly drops. Tight end Donald Parham added four catches for 57 yards.

The game started with the Chargers taking an early 3-0 lead in the first quarter after a 25-yard field goal by Cameron Dicker. However, the Packers responded in the second quarter and tied the game at 10 just before halftime with a 32-yard rushing touchdown by Jayden Reed and a field goal from kicker Anders Carlson.

The third quarter saw back-and-forth action, with the Chargers taking a 13-10 lead on another field goal by Dicker. However, the Packers quickly answered back with Love connecting with Christian Watson for an 11-yard touchdown pass, putting Green Bay back in the lead 16-13.

In the fourth quarter, the Chargers made a strong push, as Herbert found Allen for an 11-yard touchdown pass to regain the lead at 20-16. But the Packers mounted a final, game-winning drive, culminating in Love's clutch touchdown pass to Doubs.

With this victory, the Packers improved their season record to 4-6, leveling the Chargers' record at the same mark.

The Packers now look forward to their next challenge as they continue their quest for a playoff spot, while the Chargers aim to bounce back from this tough loss and get back on track.
