Ohio State University's secondary coach, Tim Walton, is on a roll when it comes to recruiting highly touted cornerback prospects. Walton's streak of success continues with the recent commitment of Devin Sanchez, the second-ranked cornerback in the 2025 class.

Devin Sanchez, a five-star recruit and ranked sixth overall in the 2025 class, has chosen to join the Buckeyes. Walton's ability to attract top talent to Ohio State's football program is evident as he has now secured commitments from two top-10 cornerbacks in three consecutive recruiting cycles.

Over the past three years, Walton has successfully landed a total of six top-10 cornerbacks. In 2023, he secured commitments from four-star prospects Jermaine Mathews and Calvin Simpson Hunt, ranked 51st and 62nd overall respectively. In 2024, Walton brought in five-star recruit Aaron Scott, ranked 34th overall, and four-star recruit Bryce West, ranked 58th overall. Now, with the addition of Devin Sanchez and four-star prospect Blake Woodby, ranked 6th and 76th overall respectively in the 2025 class, Walton's streak continues to grow.

Incredibly, Walton may not be done yet. He still has a chance to land the number one cornerback in the 2025 class with his pursuit of five-star prospect Na'eem Offord. Furthermore, Ohio State is heavily pursuing Dorian Brew, the fourth-ranked cornerback in the 2025 class.

The commitment of Devin Sanchez to Ohio State is not only a major win for the Buckeyes but also a testament to Tim Walton's exceptional abilities as a recruiter. With a track record of consistently attracting top talent to the secondary, Walton has solidified his reputation as one of the best in the business.

As Ohio State continues to build a formidable defensive unit, the addition of Sanchez further bolsters their already impressive recruiting class. Buckeye fans can rest assured that the future of the secondary looks extremely bright.
