In a crucial Week 7 of the NFL season, several key players are facing injury challenges that could impact their team's performance on the field. Here are the latest updates on the injuries of notable players:

Trevor Lawrence, the quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars, displayed remarkable resilience by starting his 41st consecutive NFL game, despite battling a sprained left knee. Lawrence led the Jaguars to a 31-24 victory over the New Orleans Saints, showcasing his versatility by passing for 204 yards and a touchdown, while also leading the team in rushing with 59 yards on eight carries.

Unfortunately, the Las Vegas Raiders and the Chicago Bears will be forced to turn to their backup quarterbacks in Week 7. Jimmy Garoppolo of the Raiders has been ruled out due to a back injury, making it his second missed game of the season. The Raiders now face a decision between rookie Aidan O'Connell and veteran Brian Hoyer to lead their offense. O'Connell started in the absence of Garoppolo against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4, while Hoyer showed efficiency against the New England Patriots last week.

For the Bears, Justin Fields will be sidelined due to a dislocated right thumb. Despite showing progress in his recovery, Fields will not require surgery. Tyson Bagent will step in as the rookie's replacement against the Raiders in Week 7.

In other injury news, the Cleveland Browns are hopeful that starting quarterback Deshaun Watson will return to the lineup after missing the past two games with a strained right rotator cuff. Watson completed his first full practice since September 22 on Friday, raising expectations that he could make a comeback.

Additionally, there are updates on the injuries of other key players. Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers is considered day-to-day after sustaining an oblique injury, while Deebo Samuel is also considered day-to-day with a shoulder injury. The 49ers are hopeful that both players will be available for their Monday night matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

The Detroit Lions will be without David Montgomery, their leading rusher, as he continues to recover from an injury suffered in the previous week's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Montgomery's absence will provide an opportunity for rookie Jahmyr Gibbs to handle a heavier workload.

For the Los Angeles Rams, running back Kyren Williams will not play against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the team is currently deciding whether he will need to be placed on injured reserve. Darrell Henderson Jr. and Myles Gaskin have been added as reinforcements to the Rams' backfield.

Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be without their tight end, who aggravated his hamstring injury in practice. Rookie tight end Darnell Washington will have an expanded role in his absence.

As for the New York Giants, quarterback Daniel Jones is still listed as questionable due to a hamstring injury. Despite not participating in team reps this week, there is a slim chance he may take the field. The Giants' offensive line is also dealing with several injuries, which further complicates Jones' potential return.

Lastly, the New England Patriots' running back, Rhamondre Stevenson, has confirmed that he will play in Week 7 despite dealing with an ankle injury sustained in the previous week's game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Stevenson's presence, along with Ezekiel Elliott, will be crucial as the Patriots aim to exploit the Buffalo Bills' vulnerable run defense.

With multiple key players sidelined or battling injuries, Week 7 promises to test the depth and resilience of NFL teams. The outcomes of these upcoming matchups will undoubtedly be influenced by the health and availability of these players.
