As the NFL regular season comes to a close, several players find themselves on the verge of achieving remarkable milestones and breaking records. Let's take a closer look at the potential history-making feats that could be accomplished.

Kansas City Chiefs' tight end, Travis Kelce, is on the cusp of yet another incredible achievement. With 984 receiving yards already under his belt this season, Kelce needs just 16 more yards to reach the impressive milestone of 1,000 receiving yards. If he succeeds, Kelce will extend his own record for the most 1,000-yard seasons by a tight end, and also notch his eighth consecutive season reaching this milestone.

Another remarkable duo, rookies LaPorta and Gibbs, could make history as the first pair of rookie teammates to score 10 touchdowns each. Gibbs has showcased his versatile skills with 10 scrimmage touchdowns, while LaPorta is just one touchdown away from the same achievement, currently boasting nine touchdowns to his name.

In the running back position, Montgomery and Gibbs of the same team have the chance to become the first tandem to finish a season with 1,000 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns each. Montgomery has been a force on the field, accumulating an impressive 975 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns. Gibbs, on the other hand, has contributed significantly with 915 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns.

On the defensive side, Sweat is eyeing a groundbreaking achievement. If he continues his impressive form, Sweat could become the first player in NFL history to lead two teams in sacks in a single season. Currently, Sweat leads the Chicago Bears with 6.0 sacks, despite joining the team in Week 9. Additionally, he has also accumulated 6.5 sacks while playing for the San Antonio Commanders.

Lastly, Chargers' linebacker, Mack, is closing in on the franchise record for most sacks in a season. With an impressive tally of 16 sacks, Mack is just 1.5 sacks shy of surpassing Shawne Merriman and Leslie O'Neal, both of whom currently hold the record at 17 sacks.

As the remaining NFL games play out, the anticipation and excitement surrounding these potential record-breaking achievements continue to grow. Fans eagerly await the outcome, hoping to witness history being made on the field.
