In an effort to elevate the Michigan Wolverines' recruiting game to new heights, Sherrone Moore, the newly appointed head coach, is determined to make aggressive moves on the recruiting trail and strengthen the program's NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) foundation.

Under former head coach Jim Harbaugh, Michigan consistently secured solid recruiting classes, but rarely reached an elite status. Rankings for recruiting classes during Harbaugh's tenure ranged from eighth to 22nd. However, with Moore now at the helm, expectations are high for a significant change in this aspect.

During his opening press conference as head coach, Moore emphasized the critical role recruiting plays in the current landscape of college football. He stressed the need to attract top-tier high school prospects as well as utilize the transfer portal effectively.

Undeterred by the challenges of the evolving recruiting landscape, Moore declared, "We're going to attack it just like we're attacking scheme. We're going to do it the same way, the same attitude, relentlessly, so we make sure that we keep our great players here and we bring in great players to the program."

The aim is for Michigan's recruiting efforts to soar under Moore's leadership, capitalizing on the recent national championship triumph to attract prospects. Moore highlighted the sustained success of other programs fueled by their excellence on the recruiting trail and expressed his determination to replicate those achievements at Michigan.

Moore acknowledged the growing significance of NIL in modern-day college football and emphasized the need for a robust NIL strategy. Drawing attention to the variations in fundraising capabilities among schools, Moore recognized the importance of a strong NIL foundation in attracting top talent.

He explained, "It's a part of what we do and how we have to operate. Times have changed and we have to continue to evolve, and we will. I think we're gonna definitely attack (NIL). We've already started doing that, so we'll definitely have conversations on how we'll go about it."

With a clear vision for the future, Moore is ready to break through barriers and get to work. Understanding that successful recruiting and a solid NIL structure are paramount in today's college football landscape, his determination to excel in these areas may lead to consistently higher-ranked recruiting classes for Michigan in the coming years.

As Moore takes charge, the Michigan faithful eagerly anticipate a new era of Wolverines football, fueled by recruiting prowess and a resilient NIL structure. The stage is set for a transformative chapter in the program's storied history.
