However, Johnson redirected the focus to Glenn, emphasizing his belief in Glenn's qualifications for the coveted leadership role. According to Justin Rogers of the Detroit News, Johnson stated, "Did you guys ask AG about this? Because he's a guy we should be asking about head coaching. That guy, what he's done, he's going to be a phenomenal head football coach when he gets the opportunity to do that. I think when you bring those types of questions up [to me], you need to make sure you're asking them to him, as well."

Johnson spoke highly of Glenn's ability to connect with players and gain their respect. Describing Glenn as demanding yet gentle in his approach, Johnson expressed confidence that Glenn would flourish when given the chance to lead a team. "The way his players respect him - he is very demanding, yet he has a gentle touch when it comes to being able to relate and get them to do what brings out the best in them," Johnson remarked. "I know when he gets his opportunity, he's going to take it and run with it."

Current defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn is in his third season with the Lions, having previously worked with the New Orleans Saints and Cleveland Browns. A former cornerback with a notable 15-year NFL career, Glenn has established his expertise in defensive strategies and player development.
