Liberty's head coach, Jamey Chadwell, couldn't resist making a playful comment on social media after spotting two fans decked out in Michigan gear attending the Flames' game against Western Kentucky. Chadwell's comment comes at a time when Michigan is facing allegations of sign stealing, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the situation.

The Liberty Flames continue to dominate in their first season under Coach Jamey Chadwell, as they secured another impressive victory with a 42-29 win against Western Kentucky. However, it was a peculiar sight after the game that caught Chadwell's attention. Two Michigan fans were spotted on the 50-yard line, and while their presence may not have raised any alarms for most, Chadwell couldn't resist poking fun at the situation on social media.

"Is it me, or is this sus that there are Michigan fans on the 50-yard line tonight to see the Flames?" Chadwell posted, tagging Liberty Football's official account.

Chadwell's lighthearted comment takes on a deeper significance due to Michigan's ongoing NCAA investigation into alleged sign stealing. The suspended Wolverines analyst, Connor Stalions, is accused of purchasing tickets for games that didn't involve Michigan - including matches against Big Ten opponents and potential College Football Playoff adversaries - over the span of three years.

While Liberty doesn't appear to be concerned about Michigan stealing their signs, the success of the Flames under Chadwell's guidance cannot be overlooked. With a perfect 8-0 record in their debut campaign, Liberty is now within striking distance of an undefeated regular season and a shot at winning the Conference USA title. Depending on how things unfold, the Flames may even secure a highly coveted New Year's Six bid as the designated Group of Five participant.

Looking ahead, the Flames' next game is scheduled for Saturday, November 4th, as they face off against Louisiana Tech in front of their home crowd. As Liberty continues to make waves in the college football landscape, they remain focused on their pursuit of glory, undeterred by the presence of Michigan fans or the surrounding controversies.
