According to reports from ESPN and NFL Media, the Raiders have requested permission to interview both Peters and Dodds for the role.

Additionally, the Raiders' interim general manager, Champ Kelly, is considered a strong candidate for the position and is expected to be interviewed as well. However, it has been speculated that Kelly may also receive interest from other teams, including the Los Angeles Chargers, Washington Commanders, and Carolina Panthers, as they also have general manager openings.

Meanwhile, Ed Dodds, who previously interviewed for the Raiders' general manager position two years ago when Dave Ziegler was hired, has ties to the team as he served as an intern in 2003. It is worth noting that Dodds also has a connection with Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, who is believed to be a potential target for the Raiders' head coaching position.

Adam Peters, highly regarded in the NFL, has reportedly garnered interest from the Washington Football Team as well, as they have also requested permission to interview him. Peters' reputation speaks for itself, and it is no surprise that multiple teams are vying for his services.

As the Raiders embark on their search for a new general manager, it is speculated that they hope to appoint the GM first to have a strong influence on the selection of the team's new head coach, following the firing of Josh McDaniels. There are expected to be other candidates in the mix as well, including Trey Brown of the Cincinnati Bengals and Terrance Gray of the Buffalo Bills, with both individuals having been requested for interviews by the Raiders, according to NFL Media.

Trey Brown, known around the league for his versatility and extensive experience, has been part of Super Bowl campaigns with multiple teams, making him an attractive prospect for the Raiders' vacant general manager position.

The process is now officially underway, as the Raiders diligently explore various candidates to find the ideal fit for their leadership team. With key interviews scheduled and potential candidates being considered, the Raiders are committed to making a valuable addition to their front office in the near future.
