The Arizona Cardinals' star quarterback, Kyler Murray, has yet to be ruled out for Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens, according to coach Jonathan Gannon. Although Murray was removed from the injury report on Thursday, he remains on the PUP (Physically Unable to Perform) list.
Coach Gannon was tight-lipped regarding Murray's status, responding with a simple "we'll see" when asked about the quarterback's potential return to the field. Murray suffered an ACL injury earlier in the season, and Sunday's game could mark his first appearance since the injury.
Despite being doubtful for the game, Murray's name was taken off the injury report on Thursday, indicating that he is fully healthy. However, in order to keep him on the PUP list, the Cardinals had to provide a game designation for Murray on Friday. If no designation was given, he would have to be activated for Sunday's game.
Gannon emphasized that Murray's practice routine has remained consistent throughout the week, regardless of his daily injury status. He also mentioned that Murray is not expected to wear a knee brace during the game.
Murray's availability on Sunday hinges on whether he is activated from the PUP list on Saturday. If he is not activated, Joshua Dobbs is set to make his eighth consecutive start as the Cardinals' quarterback.
Gannon commended Murray's skills, noting his ability to throw with precision, his explosiveness in scrambling out of the pocket, and his strong command of the team's offense.
Cardinals fans eagerly await an update on Murray's status as the team prepares to face the Ravens on Sunday.
