The Kentucky Wildcats have once again found themselves in need of a new offensive coordinator, marking their fifth consecutive off-season searching for the right candidate. Head coach Mark Stoops has taken on the task and it seems that he has found his answer in Bush Hamdan, the current offensive coordinator for the Boise State Broncos.

According to a report by Matt Zenitz, sources have confirmed that Kentucky is set to hire Hamdan as their new offensive coordinator. This comes after Liam Coen's departure from the position. Hamdan, who has an extensive background in coaching at both the collegiate and professional level, brings a wealth of experience to the Wildcats.

Originally from Kuwait City, Hamdan played quarterback for Boise State from 2004 to 2008. He then went on to work as an offensive coordinator at the University of Washington and as a quarterback coach for the Atlanta Falcons in the NFL. Prior to joining Boise State, Hamdan also took over play-calling duties at Missouri.

The search for a new offensive coordinator in Kentucky focused on finding a coach with considerable collegiate experience, as Stoops aims to establish continuity in the position after Coen's departures. Hamdan's track record, including his successful stint at Boise State where the team averaged 32 points and 436 yards per game, made him a desirable candidate.

In addition to his prowess on the field, Hamdan has also shown promise on the recruiting front, further solidifying his suitability for the role. With a balanced offensive approach that saw the Broncos excel in both passing and rushing, Hamdan's ability to maximize the talents of Kentucky's players will be highly anticipated.

Fans first began to speculate about Hamdan's potential hiring when Kentucky assistant coach Vince Marrow followed him on Twitter. The rumors gained even more traction when it was reported that Hamdan would indeed join the Wildcats.

As the Kentucky Wildcats prepare for the upcoming season, the addition of Bush Hamdan as their new offensive coordinator brings a sense of stability and expertise to the position. With Hamdan's impressive track record, both in play-calling and recruiting, the Wildcats look to make strides in their offensive strategy.
