In recent years, Kellen Moore, the former offensive play-caller for the Dallas Cowboys and current offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers, has been gaining attention in the NFL coaching world. Despite his departure from the Cowboys, Moore's strategic prowess and ability to improve offensive performances have made him a sought-after candidate.

After taking over as the Cowboys' play-caller in 2019, Moore sparked a significant improvement in the team's offense. Their ranking in DVOA (Defense-adjusted Value Over Average) skyrocketed from 24th in 2018 to an impressive second place in 2019. However, the team faced adversity in 2020 when quarterback Dak Prescott suffered a season-ending injury, causing a regression in offensive performance.

Despite this setback, Moore's leadership continued to shine, as the Cowboys' offense ranked fourth in DVOA in 2021. The following year, the team decided to part ways with Moore and handed play-calling duties to head coach Mike McCarthy. This decision raised some eyebrows, but ultimately proved successful, resulting in a ninth-place ranking in DVOA and a standout season for Prescott.

Following his departure from Dallas, Moore joined the Los Angeles Chargers as offensive play-caller under head coach Brandon Staley. However, despite his efforts, the Chargers' offense struggled, ranking 16th in DVOA, 24th in EPA per play, and 21st in offensive points per game in 2023. This disappointment, combined with Staley's firing and organizational changes, led to Moore's departure from the Chargers.

Despite the challenges faced in Los Angeles, Moore's reputation as an innovative mind in offensive football has not waned. The Cleveland Browns have reportedly expressed interest in interviewing Moore for their offensive coordinator position. Alongside Moore, former Eagles offensive coordinator Brian Johnson is also being considered for the role.

As speculation about Moore's future continues, the question arises: Should the Philadelphia Eagles hire Kellen Moore as their offensive coordinator? With his proven ability to elevate offensive performances and his track record of success, Moore could be the missing piece to rejuvenate the Eagles' offense. However, only time will tell if the Eagles choose to pursue Moore and whether he will bring his play-calling skills to Philadelphia.
