Bowen has spent the past three seasons with the Titans, making significant contributions to their defensive unit. In 2023, under his guidance, the Titans boasted the top defense in red zone scoring, goal-to-go scoring, and third-down conversation rate in the red zone. Additionally, the Titans had the second-best performance in inside the 30 touchdown efficiency and opponent third-and-short conversions.

Throughout Bowen's tenure as defensive coordinator, the Titans had the fewest rushing yards allowed in the entire NFL, surrendering just 89.7 yards per game. Prior to his NFL coaching career, Bowen had successful stints at Kennesaw State University and Ohio State University. At Kennesaw State, as linebackers coach, he helped the Owls achieve a 6-5 record in the Big South Conference in their inaugural season. At Ohio State, Bowen served as a defensive graduate assistant and contributed to the team's 12-0 record and No. 3 national ranking.
