ATHENS - The Georgia Bulldogs have maintained their stronghold on the No. 1 spot in the Coaches Poll as the college football season heads into Week 11. Following a hard-fought victory against the Missouri Tigers, the Bulldogs continue to reign supreme in the rankings.

In a closely contested game, Georgia’s defense came through in the clutch when Nazir Stackhouse intercepted a pass from Missouri's Brady Cook in the fourth quarter. Peyton Woodring then sealed the win with a 48-yard field goal, resulting in a final score of 30-21 in favor of the Bulldogs.

"Tight games are what you do in the SEC," acknowledged Georgia coach Kirby Smart. "The margin of victory, it's hard to win. I was proud of the way they played. The locker room is great. They've been in these kind of battles."

Remaining unaltered, the top five teams in the Coaches Poll are as follows: No. 1 Georgia, No. 2 Michigan, No. 3 Ohio State, No. 4 Florida State, and No. 5 Washington. All of these teams earned victories over the weekend, solidifying their positions in the rankings.

"Got a great team. I'll get to work on them tomorrow," stated Smart about the upcoming game against the Rebels. "It'll be a hell of a matchup because they've got a really good football team."
