As a fifth-year offensive lineman, Toomey is being considered for a guard position at FSU, where the coaching staff has shown a belief in his abilities.

At 6-foot-3 and 295 pounds, Toomey played left tackle at Furman but is projected to transition to a guard position at the Power Four (P4) level. He spoke highly of offensive line coach Alex Atkins and head coach Mike Norvell, indicating his positive impressions of the coaching staff at FSU.

Toomey is currently considering several potential destinations, with Florida State, South Carolina, Duke, and NC State rounding out his top four.
