In a surprising turn of events, former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel is becoming a highly sought-after candidate for several coaching vacancies in the NFL.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, Vrabel is currently in Los Angeles to interview with the Chargers, making it his first known interview of the coaching cycle. However, he is not the only one interested in Vrabel's services. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that both the Seattle Seahawks and the Atlanta Falcons have expressed their interest in meeting with Vrabel for their vacant head coach positions.

Vrabel's tenure with the Titans came to an end last week when he was let go after Tennessee finished the 2023 season with a disappointing 6-11 record. However, his overall coaching record with the Titans stands at a respectable 54-45, and he led the team to the AFC Championship Game in 2019. Despite this success, the Titans failed to advance past the divisional round in the subsequent two seasons.

The Chargers, in their quest to find the right candidate, have already interviewed several individuals with previous head coaching experience. Alongside Vrabel, University of Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh, former Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier, and current Cowboys defensive coordinator and former Falcons head coach Dan Quinn are among the contenders. Quinn is reportedly set to meet with the Chargers over the weekend.

As the coaching carousel continues to spin, it remains to be seen which team will ultimately secure the services of Mike Vrabel. With interest coming in from various quarters, it's evident that Vrabel's coaching abilities and success with the Titans have not gone unnoticed in the NFL.
