Former Ohio State wide receiver Julian Fleming has announced his decision to transfer to Penn State for the upcoming 2024 season. Fleming, who was ESPN's No. 1 recruit in the 2020 class, made the announcement on Instagram. After entering the transfer portal on December 4, the talented receiver chose the Nittany Lions to help bolster their underperforming receiving corps.
Penn State had been seen as the favorite to land Fleming, as they were actively seeking reinforcements for their receiving unit following a lackluster 2023 season. With new offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki at the helm, the team hopes to revitalize their offense, and Fleming's addition will undoubtedly contribute to their efforts. Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 210 pounds, Fleming is a native of Catawissa, Pennsylvania. He recently graduated from Ohio State in December, making him eligible to play immediately for Penn State in the 2024 season.
