In a heartfelt plea, Grammy-winning rapper Eminem is urging former Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford to grant the Lions a much-awaited playoff victory. The Lions, who have not secured a playoff win on home turf in over three decades, have one shot to claim a Wild Card game victory against the Los Angeles Rams.

Eminem, a passionate football fan and devoted Lions supporter, took to social media to express his desire for a playoff triumph. Appealing directly to Stafford, he reminded the quarterback of their shared history and the support he had extended during Stafford's previous successes.

"Stafford, what'd I say? You owe me this favor, bro," Eminem pleaded. "I was there for you when you won it. I rapped for you, Stafford! Can you just let us have this one? Just this one."

The 51-year-old rapper, who hails from Detroit, last witnessed the Lions advance in the postseason when he was a youthful 19-year-old. Desperate to witness a playoff win for his beloved team once more, Eminem hopes Stafford will acquiesce to his request.

Eminem, known for incorporating football references into his music, has mentioned various football stars in his songs, including Tom Brady, Troy Polamalu, LaDainian Tomlinson, and Brian Dawkins. He even referenced the infamous 0-16 Lions in his track "Legacy." Should current Lions quarterback Jared Goff lead the team to victory, it is possible Eminem may give him a shoutout in a future rap.

Stafford, who was originally drafted by the Lions as the No. 1 overall pick in 2009, now finds himself on the opposing side as the Rams' quarterback. Having spent 12 years leading the Detroit offense, he returns to his old home of Ford Field with the aim of dashing the Lions' playoff hopes.

The Lions, finishing the regular season with a promising 12-5 record, claimed the No. 3 seed in the NFC North. Their opponents, the Rams, secured the No. 6 seed in the NFC West with a 10-7 record.

As the anticipation builds for the Lions' Wild Card game, fans and Eminem alike hope that Stafford's compassion for his former team will lead to them clinching their first playoff victory since 1991.
