Cincinnati, OH - The Cincinnati Bengals have made some roster moves as they prepare for their upcoming games. The team has cleared cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt to practice by designating him for return from injured reserve. Additionally, the Bengals have signed defensive tackle Domenique Davis to the practice squad.

Taylor-Britt, a second-year player, has been sidelined with an ankle injury and has been on injured reserve since December 4th. However, today marks the beginning of a 21-day period during which he is allowed to practice with the team without being counted against the 53-player active roster. The versatile cornerback will now have the opportunity to work with his teammates and potentially make a return to the active roster.

On the other hand, Davis, a first-year player from North Carolina at Pembroke, has been with the Bengals' practice squad for the majority of the season. After spending the first 14 games on the practice squad, Davis was signed to the active roster for Week 16 but was waived on Monday. However, his signing with the practice squad once again adds depth to the team's defensive rotation.

In another roster move, the Las Vegas Raiders have signed tight end Zach Gentry off the Bengals' practice squad, per Tom Pelissero. Gentry, a fifth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, has played in 40 career games, starting in 26 of them. He has caught 39 passes for 303 yards during his NFL career. Gentry joined the Bengals' practice squad in September but has not yet appeared in a game for the team.

The Bengals have primarily relied on Tanner Hudson, Mitchell Wilcox, Irv Smith Jr., and Drew Sample at the tight end position, which likely led to Gentry's limited playing time. However, his departure opens up opportunities for other players to step up and contribute to the Bengals' offense.

As the Bengals make these roster adjustments, they continue to focus on improving and building momentum for their upcoming games. With Taylor-Britt's return to practice and the addition of Davis to the practice squad, the team hopes to strengthen their defense and make a strong push as the regular season winds down.

It remains to be seen if Taylor-Britt will be activated to the roster during the 21-day period or if Davis will have the chance to earn a spot on the active roster once again. Bengals fans will be eagerly watching to see how these roster moves impact the team's performance in the coming weeks.
