In a well-deserved honor, Broncos cornerback Pat Surtain II has been selected to the second annual NFLPA Players' All-Pro team, announced by the NFLPA on Wednesday. This recognition adds to the list of accolades Surtain has received for his outstanding performance during the 2023 season.

Surtain, who was also chosen for the inaugural NFLPA Players' All-Pro team in 2022, started all 17 games for the Broncos in 2023, showcasing his remarkable skills on the field. Throughout the season, he recorded one interception and an impressive 12 passes defensed. This achievement marks Surtain as the first player in the franchise's history to have double-digit passes defensed in each of his first three seasons.

The talented cornerback stood out by limiting some of the league's top wide receivers. In Week 1, Surtain held Las Vegas' Davante Adams to just two catches for 32 yards. He continued his dominance in Week 10 by containing Buffalo's Stefon Diggs, allowing only two receptions for 41 yards. In Week 12, Surtain showcased his exceptional skills once again, holding Cleveland's Amari Cooper to one reception for 11 yards.

The NFLPA Players' All-Pro team is voted on by active NFL players, emphasizing the recognition from Surtain's peers. Each player is eligible to vote for their respective position group and the group they compete against on the field. It is important to note that self-voting and voting for teammates is not permitted. Additionally, players who have missed five or more games by Week 15 are ineligible for the team.

Surtain's selection to the NFLPA Players' All-Pro team adds to his growing list of honors for the 2023 campaign. He had already received a Pro Bowl nod and the prestigious Demaryius Thomas Team MVP Award, underscoring his significant contributions to the Broncos' success.
