Cincinnati Bengals' quarterback Jake Browning has been recognized for his outstanding performance in the team's 34-31 overtime victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The young quarterback's exceptional display in just his second career NFL start earned him the prestigious title of AFC Offensive Player of the Week.

Browning, displaying remarkable accuracy and composure, completed an impressive 32 out of 37 passes, boasting an exceptional completion rate of 86.5%. With a total of 354 passing yards and one touchdown, Browning dominated the field and led all NFL quarterbacks in completions, completion percentage, and passing yards in Week 13.

Setting several records in his remarkable performance, Browning's completion rate of 86.5% stands as the fifth highest in Bengals' history for a game, given a minimum of 20 attempts. In addition, it marks the highest completion percentage by an NFL quarterback in one of his first two career starts.

The talented quarterback's 354 passing yards also make history, ranking as the second-highest in Bengals' history by a quarterback in his first two starts. The only one to surpass him is Jeff Blake, who achieved 387 yards in his second start on November 6, 1994, against the Seattle Seahawks.

Not just limited to records within the team, Browning has also earned his place in the Super Bowl era record books. Only ten quarterbacks have ever accomplished passing for 350 or more yards with a completion percentage of 85% or above.

Browning showcased his vital ability to perform under pressure, completing an impressive 9 out of 11 passes on third down. Amongst these completions was a spectacular 76-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase, marking the Bengals' longest play from scrimmage this season.

In the crucial period of overtime, Browning's skills shone brightly once again. Going 4 for 5 on his passes for 36 yards, he led his team into a position that resulted in the game-winning field goal.

This recognition of Browning as AFC Offensive Player of the Week makes him the third Bengals player to receive this honor this season. Previous recipients include wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase in Week 5 and quarterback Joe Burrow in Week 8.

The Bengals' players as a whole have been highly acclaimed this season, accumulating a total of 16 weekly honors in offensive, defensive, and special teams categories. This remarkable achievement places the Bengals as the second-most honored team in the NFL since the commencement of the 2021 season.

With his exceptional performance, Jake Browning has proven that he is a force to be reckoned with in the NFL, capturing the attention of football enthusiasts and solidifying his place as a key player in the Bengals' arsenal.
