In a surprising turn of events on this week's "Weekend Update," a single guest managed to steal the spotlight. Sarah Sherman introduced 18-year-old CJ Rossitano, who initially appeared to discuss tips for getting tickets to Saturday Night Live but quickly veered into more comedic territory.

Sporting a striking resemblance to host Colin Jost, CJ was presented as an earnest and wide-eyed young man, reminiscent of former cast member Vanessa Bayer's Jacob the Bar Mitzvah Boy. However, the joke took a twist as subtle implications arose suggesting that CJ might actually be Jost's son. CJ's attire and styling mirrored that of Jost, and he solemnly professed to have never met his supposed father, casting longing glances in Jost's direction. Harry Chapin's "Cat's in the Cradle" underscored the poignant undertones of their hypothetical father-son relationship.

Though a visibly uncomfortable Jost attempted to play it cool, mounting evidence seemed to point against him. CJ was born in Jost's former housekeeper's neighborhood, and his mother refers to his mysterious father as "El Diablo de Los Hamptons." The resemblance extended even further, as both Jost and CJ claimed to suffer from a rare medical condition called "porcine penile maladaptation," characterizing their genitalia as "small and curly, like a pig's tail."

Delivering a cutting blow, CJ also made a not-so-subtle reference to Jost's famous wife, Scarlett Johansson. He casually mentioned his own relationship with a "gorgeous girl" who excels as a lead actress in school plays, implying that others question why she would be with him. This choice of words drew parallels to Jost's own marriage to Johansson, with some internet critics suggesting he doesn't measure up to her.

While this roast may not reach the intensity of previous barbs, like when Michael Che teased Jost about his wife's whitewashing controversy, it added another entry in the long-standing tradition of making Jost squirm on camera. However, unlike previous roasts, this time Sarah Sherman ensured that Jost would have a happy ending. The segment concluded with Jost accepting CJ as his son, as both admitted (in unison and humorously) that their favorite food is cocaine.

After 18 years of confusion, CJ finally found a father figure, while Jost gained a son who, according to the cue cards, thinks he's "better than everyone else even though there's no reason to feel that way." Jost may have sacrificed some dignity in this episode, but he acquired a newfound family bond in return.
