Fans of the cult classic mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap can rejoice as new details have emerged about a highly anticipated sequel, set to begin filming in late February next year. Director Rob Reiner has revealed that the original cast members, Michael McKean, Harry Shearer, and Christopher Guest, will be reprising their iconic roles, along with several special cameo appearances.

During an appearance on Richard Herring's Leicester Square Theatre Podcast, Reiner excitedly announced, "We're going to start shooting in the end of February." He also confirmed that he will return to the film as filmmaker Marty DiBergi. But the real excitement came with the revelation of some high-profile guest appearances joining the project.

Among the A-list of surprises, music legends Paul McCartney and Elton John have officially signed on for the sequel. This announcement is bound to generate immense excitement among fans, as these industry icons join forces with the fictional band.
