Joined by her mother Rosa Doherty on the podcast, which she launched earlier this month, Doherty emphasized the importance of being grateful for the presence of loved ones who stood by her side through thick and thin. She also shared her relief at having scheduled her cancer infusions in a way that would allow her to fully recover and enjoy the holidays.

Doherty was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, and in February 2020, she revealed that she was battling stage four breast cancer. The actress also faced personal challenges this year, including the separation from her ex-husband Kurt Iswarienko, whom she divorced in April.

Despite the tumultuous year, Doherty expressed that she is currently in a peaceful place. She believes that 2023 is ending on a positive note for her, with her heart gradually opening back up. Looking forward, the actress expressed optimism for the coming year, stating that she believes it will be beautiful.

On a lighter note, Doherty stirred up some controversy in her podcast when she discussed a "weird divide" between herself, Holly Marie Combs, and Alyssa Milano during their time on the set of Charmed. Doherty played the role of Prue Halliwell on the popular series from 1998 to 2001, leaving after the third season.

Charmed co-star Combs shared that producers informed her about Milano's alleged ultimatum, which created a hostile work environment. However, Doherty clarified that she doesn't believe the same behavior occurred on the set of Beverly Hills, 90210.
