In a heart-wrenching interview with E! News, Nick Carter, 43, revealed that he is still grappling with the loss of his younger brother, Aaron Carter, who tragically passed away one year ago on November 5, 2022.
According to an autopsy report, Aaron, 34 at the time, drowned in the bath after consuming Xanax and huffing. The coroner ruled his death as an accidental overdose.

Nick and Aaron, both actors and singers, had a tumultuous relationship over the years, marked by multiple fallouts as Aaron dealt with personal demons. In 2019, Nick and his sister, Angel, obtained a restraining order against Aaron due to his alarming behavior and his confessions of having thoughts of harm towards Nick's pregnant wife and unborn child.

When news of Aaron's death broke, Nick took to Instagram to express his profound sorrow and love for his late brother, despite their complicated relationship. In the recent interview, Nick tearfully admitted that he still finds it "unbelievable" and struggles with Aaron's absence, particularly during holidays and significant milestones.

Nick reminisced about the moments he shared with Aaron and their family, describing them as cherished memories. He noted that although he now shares those moments with his own children and family, there are still times when he is overwhelmed by the reality of his brother's untimely death.

Visibly emotional, Nick confessed that he is still in the process of understanding and accepting the tragedy. He admitted to suppressing his grief at times, only for it to resurface unexpectedly. Nevertheless, he expressed hope that he will eventually find meaning and peace amidst the pain.

The loss of Aaron has deeply impacted Nick, who emphasized that despite their ups and downs, he will always love and miss his brother. He acknowledged the enduring bond between them and expressed his commitment to finding closure.

Meanwhile, a wrongful death lawsuit has been filed on behalf of Aaron's two-year-old son, Princeton Lyric Carter. The lawsuit alleges that doctors and pharmacies prescribed medication to Aaron without sufficient medical reason, despite being aware of his mental health and psychiatric condition. The medications mentioned in the court documents include alprazolam (commonly known as Xanax), oxycodone, and hydrocodone.

Among the defendants named in the lawsuit is Walgreens, with the suit claiming that the pharmacists should have exercised caution due to the quantities of medication Aaron was acquiring, particularly in light of his psychiatric issues.

The anniversary of Aaron Carter's passing serves as a somber reminder of the enduring pain felt by his family, particularly Nick Carter, who continues to navigate the complex emotions surrounding this devastating loss.
