In its four-day run, Hrithik Roshan's latest film, 'Fighter', has made a strong start at the box office, garnering a total collection of Rs. 122 crores. The movie opened with Rs. 24.60 crores on Thursday and saw a significant jump in numbers with Rs. 41 crores on Friday. It maintained a steady performance with Rs. 27.60 crores on Saturday, followed by Rs. 29 crores on Sunday.
While 'Fighter' has been performing well in urban centers, it seems to be facing challenges in mass belts, with single screens and non-national areas not delivering as expected. Despite this, the four-day total is still impressive, and the film now aims to hit the Rs. 155 crore mark by the end of its opening week.
As a multiplex film, 'Fighter' is expected to continue its upward trajectory during weekends, with significant jumps anticipated every Saturday, eventually propelling it to the coveted Rs. 200 crore club. This achievement would make it Hrithik Roshan's second-highest-grossing film, solidifying his position in the industry.
Moreover, if 'Fighter' manages to sustain its success through the week, it will further contribute to the winning streak of both Hrithik Roshan and Siddharth Anand, the director. While the four-day business is undoubtedly promising, the film still has hurdles to overcome before declaring complete victory.
