In an exclusive report obtained by Page Six, it has been revealed that Britney Spears remains adamant about not making amends with her estranged father, Jamie Spears, despite his recent health struggles. Multiple insiders have confirmed that the claims suggesting Britney's desire to reconcile with her disgraced father are false.
TMZ had reported earlier this week that Britney, 42, confessed to missing her father, 71-year-old Jamie, and even contemplated providing him with financial assistance at times. However, given the ongoing disagreements between Britney and Jamie regarding the alleged mismanagement of her finances during her conservatorship, it is unlikely that such claims hold any truth.
Furthermore, court filings have revealed that Jamie paid himself approximately $6 million over the course of 13 years for his role as Britney's conservator. Therefore, financial difficulties should not be a concern for him.
In her bestselling memoir, "The Woman in Me," Britney expressed resentment towards her father, as she believed he viewed her as a means to boost their financial gains. The Grammy-winning artist made it clear that she will never forgive him for the abuses and trauma she endured.
Aside from monetary disputes, Britney also accused Jamie of body-shaming her, repeatedly commenting on her weight, and imposing restrictive diets on her. She also revealed that her father forced her into rehab with individuals struggling with substance abuse issues.
In a powerful Instagram post in November 2022, Britney explicitly conveyed her feelings towards Jamie, declaring that not being a part of his "slave treatment program" had positively transformed her life.
Sources close to the situation confirmed that Britney's recent birthday celebration with her mother, Lynne Spears, should not be seen as an indicator of a potential reconciliation with her father, as even the relationship with Lynne remains an ongoing work in progress.
TMZ reported that Jamie remains hopeful for the revival of his relationship with his famous daughter, expressing no ill will towards her. However, his attorney has not provided any immediate comment on the matter.
Jamie is currently in the process of healing after his leg was amputated last month due to complications arising from a knee replacement surgery that led to a severe infection. Page Six had previously reported in October that Jamie was seriously ill and had been in and out of hospitals, including a facility specializing in infectious diseases.
Representatives for Britney have not yet responded to requests for comment from Page Six.
