**Jason Constantine, Esteemed Lionsgate Executive, Passes Away at 55**

Beloved Lionsgate executive Jason Constantine has sadly passed away at the age of 55, following a prolonged battle with cancer. Constantine's impactful career spanned over two and a half decades, beginning at Trimark Pictures, the predecessor of Lionsgate. He initiated his journey as the director of acquisitions and steadily ascended to become the co-president of the Lionsgate motion picture group.

Constantine was renowned for his keen eye for potential hits and was an early advocate of the "Saw" franchise. Spotting the potential in a short film by then-unknown talents James Wan and Leigh Whannell, he championed the acquisition that would lead to a franchise grossing over $1 billion. His tenure also saw the flourishing of the immensely successful "John Wick" series, which similarly surpassed the $1 billion mark in box office revenues.

Constantine's portfolio wasn't limited to these successes. He also played a significant role in the production of "The Expendables" franchise, the Oscar-winning film "Crash," and Lee Daniels' acclaimed "Precious," which garnered five Academy Award nominations and won two Oscars. Additionally, his work on the sleeper hit "Knives Out," directed by Rian Johnson, added another feather to his cap.
