In a bid to enhance the virtual cycling experience, Zwift has rolled out a series of exciting updates that offer users more levels, customization options, and thrilling competitions. With an increased level cap, tweaked leveling-up process, and enticing rewards, Zwift aims to elevate the virtual cycling adventure for its users.

The latest update from Zwift sees the number of levels expanded from 60 to 100, inspiring users to strive for new milestones and unlock a myriad of exclusive items. These newly added levels provide virtual cyclists with a greater opportunity to showcase their achievements and acquire new jerseys and accessories from the Drop Shop.

Acknowledging the value of virtual currency, Zwift has adjusted the pricing of bikes and wheels, ensuring that users can acquire more with their hard-earned virtual bucks. The revamped pricing structure caters to the needs of users who are seeking a rewarding and cost-effective experience on the platform.

Introducing the Streaks feature, Zwift encourages users to maintain consistent engagement by riding at least two weeks in a row. In return, riders will earn extra experience points (XP) for their first two rides of each week within the streak. The absence of a time limit on streaks allows users to boost their virtual street cred and level up at an accelerated pace.

To cater to the preferences of different users, Zwift has unveiled new scaled versions of popular climbs within the Climb Portal. Users can choose their desired climb from a range of options, many of which are based on real-world ascents, and select the scale at which they want to tackle the challenge. From 50% to 125% intensity, these climbs present riders with a variety of options to test their abilities and discover new virtual landscapes. Notably, only the 100% scale will be displayed on Strava leaderboards.

With the introduction of the Zwift Play Beta, the platform now hosts events that incorporate steering, braking, and gamification elements, providing users with a more immersive and interactive experience. These activities can be enjoyed using the Play controller, which was launched in June, as well as other compatible steering devices.

For better organization and planning, the Zwift Companion app now allows users to create ride and workout queues. This convenient feature enables riders to browse and add desired workouts and routes to their queue, which will then be readily accessible from their Zwift home screen during their next ride.

Additionally, Zwift enthusiasts will be thrilled to know that the Apple Watch can now double as a heart rate monitor. By pairing the Apple Watch through the Zwift Companion app, users can seamlessly monitor their heart rate during their virtual cycling sessions.

Looking ahead, Zwift has an array of exciting events lined up. The Zwift Games, scheduled to run from February to March, will present riders with five stages, including sprints, epic rides, and climbs. Participants can unlock new race routes and strive to qualify for three Elite Championships Races, with the chance to win a substantial prize purse and a special gold Zwift icon.

Moreover, the zFondo Series for 2024 will feature the Bambino, Medio, and Gran Fondo distances, each with its unique theme. While the first round of the series has concluded, users can still participate in the upcoming Holiday Fondos and New Year's Fondos, which offer exclusive kits as rewards.

As the virtual cycling community grows, Zwift continues to provide unique opportunities for users to challenge their fitness and enjoy exciting events. From the Fitness Jumpstart training program with Kristin Armstrong to the Tour de Zwift, which introduces new routes and badges, the platform ensures that there is always something for every rider.

Notably, Zwift has announced an upcoming all-new tour with new badges and unlocks for the month of March. While details are yet to be revealed, users can anticipate another thrilling event to further enrich their virtual cycling experiences.

Zwift's recent updates bring an abundance of fresh features and enhancements, fueling the passion of virtual cyclists worldwide. With a focus on leveling up, customized avatars, and exhilarating competitions, Zwift continues to evolve into an enticing virtual cycling platform.

Please note that the specific dates for the upcoming events and details of qualifications for the Elite Championships Races will be announced on December 15th.
