Rocksteady Studios, the developer behind Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, has revealed exciting details about the game's live-service plan. According to Studio Director Darius Sadeghian, the upcoming game will adopt a "balanced" approach, focusing primarily on cosmetics.

In a Q&A session on their official Discord server, the developers explained that the Battle Pass in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will exclusively offer cosmetic items. It will have both a Premium and a free track, allowing players to access previous season Battle Passes and ensuring that no one misses out on the content.

Sadeghian further stated that a new Battle Pass will be released with each season, starting with Season 1, which will launch a few weeks after the game's initial release. Season 1's Battle Pass will consist of 75 tiers and will include Outfits, Emotes, Banners, Swatches, and some premium currency. The premium currency can be used to purchase cosmetic items in the store or future Premium Battle Passes.

One notable aspect of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's live-service plan is the emphasis on valuing players' time and avoiding the need for excessive gaming hours. Game Director Axel Rydby explained that the game's design philosophy takes into account the players' lives outside of gaming, ensuring that the game doesn't demand a huge time commitment or feel like a requirement to see all the available content.

Future seasons of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will bring new playable characters, Elseworlds, gear, and missions, all available for free. The game is set to launch on February 2nd for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X.

However, Warner Bros. Games has announced that media outlets, including Wccftech, will not receive early access codes before the game's release. This means that reviews and evaluations will be delayed until after the public servers go live on February 2nd.

While an offline mode will not be available at launch, Rocksteady has assured players that it will be added in a future update, allowing for a more flexible gaming experience.

With its focus on cosmetics, player-friendly time commitment, and regular content updates, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League aims to offer gamers the best possible live-service experience. Fans of the franchise can look forward to exploring the game's rich universe and unleashing chaos upon the Justice League next week.
