In a recent report by ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, it has been revealed that the Washington Commanders are not easily swayed by offers to move off their current position in the upcoming 2024 NFL draft. Despite receiving calls from other teams, Washington has yet to receive any enticing offers that would prompt them to give up their No. 2 spot.

Fowler reported on SportsCenter, stating, "They've made calls but there haven't been any sort of offers that have wowed Washington enough to move from that No. 2 spot." He further added that the team has not made any concrete plans regarding what they will do with the second overall pick.

According to Fowler, there is some buzz surrounding quarterback Jayden Daniels, but nothing has been confirmed regarding Washington's intentions. It appears that the team has not narrowed their focus to a single quarterback prospect and remains open to various possibilities.

During the NFL annual meeting, ESPN's Adam Schefter revealed that both the Commanders and the New England Patriots were hesitant to trade back, indicating that little has changed for Washington in that regard.

Throughout the draft cycle, LSU's Jayden Daniels and North Carolina's Drake Maye have often been linked to Washington. However, in recent times, Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy has been gaining attention. Fowler's report, however, suggests that conventional wisdom still holds, implying that Daniels and Maye might still be the preferred choices for Washington.

As the draft approaches, the Commanders seem resolute in their decision to maintain their position at No. 2. With no enticing offers yet, Washington will continue their evaluation process and keep their options open. The football world eagerly awaits to see which quarterback prospect will ultimately don the Washington Commanders' jersey in the 2024 NFL draft.
