In a recent post-fight news conference, UFC CEO, Dana White, shared his thoughts on the upcoming boxing match between legendary fighter Mike Tyson and YouTuber-turned-pro boxer Jake Paul. The bout is set to take place on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Despite being a good friend of Tyson, White expressed his reservations about seeing the boxing icon compete at the age of 58. "He gets mad when I do this, but Mike's 60, man," White stated. Recognizing the significant age difference between the two fighters, White questioned the wisdom of Tyson's decision.

While White acknowledged that he holds Tyson in high regard and considers him one of his favorite athletes of all time, he emphasized his skepticism about fighters competing at such advanced ages. "I don't like to see guys fighting at (that age)," White admitted, echoing concerns about the physical toll such matches can take on older participants.

Amidst discussions about the fight, White also voiced his interest in Netflix entering the live sports streaming arena. The streaming service, known for its diverse entertainment offerings, has recently signed a deal with WWE to stream their popular weekly series, "Raw," and other WWE programming starting in 2025.

Given that UFC and WWE are affiliated through TKO Group Holdings, with primary owner Endeavor overseeing both entities, White hinted at the potential for the UFC to explore a partnership with Netflix once its existing broadcast deal with ESPN expires. "I think that Netflix should have gotten into live sports years ago," White commented, applauding the platform's extensive global reach.

White went on to highlight the growing importance of live sports in the streaming landscape, as more and more massive companies venture into this domain. He emphasized the convenience and flexibility that streaming platforms like Netflix offer, allowing viewers to watch their favorite shows and sports events at their own convenience.

As Tyson prepares for his highly-anticipated showdown against Jake Paul, the boxing world eagerly awaits the outcome of this intriguing match between a seasoned veteran and an emerging star. Meanwhile, White's words have sparked discussions about the age factor in combat sports and the potential for Netflix to expand its reach into live sports streaming.

The fight between Tyson and Paul will be broadcasted live on Netflix for subscribers, providing a unique opportunity for fans to witness this monumental event in the world of boxing.
