Today marks the reporting date for position players across roughly a third of the league in Major League Baseball, as many teams conduct their first full-squad workouts. Among the notable teams reporting today are the Orioles and the Mariners. The Orioles, coming off a 101-win season, added ace right-hander Corbin Burnes to their roster but also announced a UCL sprain for last year's ace right-hander, Kyle Bradish. Meanwhile, the Mariners have undergone significant changes to their starting lineup this winter after narrowly missing the postseason by one game last year.

In other news, there is speculation surrounding longtime White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson as the Marlins reportedly extended him an offer over the weekend. Despite Anderson's struggles in 2023, the Marlins are considered a potential landing spot due to their need at shortstop. However, other teams such as the A's, Angels, and Giants could also be interested in adding Anderson as a veteran presence in their infield.

Additionally, right-hander Liam Hendriks sealed a two-year deal with the Red Sox earlier today. Hendriks, a standout relief pitcher, is expected to miss most of the 2024 season due to injuries. His signing raises questions about the market for Brandon Woodruff, a right-hander with a similar injury history who excelled with a 2.28 ERA in 11 starts last year. Woodruff's free agency has been relatively quiet, but with Hendriks off the market, it remains to be seen if other teams will show interest in securing his services for the coming seasons.
