The Miami Dolphins are in a position where they may need to create more cap space to retain star defensive tackle Christian Wilkins, who is eligible for free agency and could receive a franchise tag or a contract extension. The NFL's salary cap is set to rise to $255.4 million in 2024, marking a record increase of $30.6 million from the previous year.

Emmanuel Ogbah, a seasoned defensive end who recently turned 30, had a productive season in 2023 with 20 combined tackles, 5.5 sacks, and his first career interception in 15 games played. However, with newer additions like Jaelan Phillips and Bradley Chubb taking the spotlight, Ogbah found himself playing a reduced role, starting in just four games over the past two seasons.

Several potential landing spots are being considered for Ogbah in the upcoming offseason. One possibility could be a return to his original team, the Cleveland Browns, where he recorded impressive stats during his tenure. Another option might be the San Francisco 49ers, known for acquiring defensive talent and in need of a new starter on the defensive line. The Dallas Cowboys, amid changes on the defensive side, could also be interested in Ogbah to bolster their lineup, considering the departure of some defensive linemen to free agency.

As the NFL offseason progresses, Ogbah's future and potential landing spots will continue to be topics of interest and speculation across the league.
