Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is reportedly in negotiations for a new contract that could soon see him become the highest-paid coach in football. According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Reid, who ranks just inside the top 10 of highest-paid coaches, could see a significant pay raise following the team's back-to-back Super Bowl wins.

The negotiations are expected to include an extension for general manager Brett Veach, who is currently believed to be among the lowest-paid GMs. Reid, who is fourth all-time in NFL history in career wins and first among active head coaches, joined the Chiefs in 2013 after a successful tenure with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Having signed extensions in 2019 that would keep them in their respective roles through the 2025 NFL season, Reid and Veach have been instrumental in the Chiefs' success, which includes three championships in five years. The negotiations for the contract extension are anticipated to take place in the coming weeks, highlighting the Chiefs' commitment to retaining their coaching and management talent for the foreseeable future.
