Details have surfaced regarding the recent DUI arrest of Richard Sherman, a former NFL cornerback and current sports media personality. Sherman was pulled over in Bellevue, Washington, on Saturday for driving 79 miles per hour in a 60 mph zone around 2:00 a.m. According to court documents reported by CNN, Sherman admitted to consuming two margaritas when asked by authorities.

The paperwork revealed that Sherman underwent a voluntary test after the incident, although the specific type of test was not disclosed. The court documents noted that Sherman's eyes were bloodshot and watery, with authorities detecting an "odor of intoxicants." As a result, Sherman was arrested for suspicion of DUI, and a judge determined probable cause to support the charges.

Sherman is scheduled for a court hearing on Monday to address the conditions of his release. The King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office mentioned that bail will not be set until the release conditions are decided. Earlier in March 2022, Sherman pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including first-degree negligent driving, second-degree criminal trespass, and speeding in a construction zone, resulting in a 90-day suspended sentence and two years of supervised monitoring. It is worth noting that the two-year monitoring period remains ongoing, potentially leading to additional legal complications for Sherman.
