A recent revelation from a whistleblower has shed light on potential security vulnerabilities at former President Trump's golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida. Senator Josh Hawley from Missouri disclosed that the whistleblower, who has direct knowledge of Secret Service protection at the golf course, raised concerns about known weaknesses in the fence line surrounding the property. The whistleblower alleged that there are areas providing a clear line of sight to the former president and others playing on the course, which should have been monitored by Secret Service agents. Despite the standard protocol to station agents at these vulnerable spots, the individual was allowed to linger near the fence for an extended period during Trump's visit on September 15.

Senator Hawley's letter to acting U.S. Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe raised questions about the lack of security measures taken during the incident. The whistleblower's claim that agents failed to post up at known vulnerable sites and that the perimeter was not properly swept has raised concerns about the effectiveness of security protocols. The alleged gunman, identified as Ryan Routh, was apprehended by Secret Service agents but had managed to remain undetected for an alarming 12 hours near the golf course's perimeter. Authorities have charged Routh with possession of a firearm as a felon and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, with potential for additional charges in the future.

In response to Senator Hawley's letter, the U.S. Secret Service assured Fox News Digital that they respect congressional oversight and are prepared to provide any necessary information through official channels. Hawley's inquiries also questioned the use of surveillance methods such as drones or canine units to monitor the perimeter during Trump's visit. The senator emphasized that the prolonged presence of a potential threat near the golf course went undetected and highlighted the necessity for heightened vigilance in such security matters. Hawley, who is independently investigating both assassination attempts on Trump, aims to uncover the lapses in security protocols to prevent future incidents.
