**Putin Delivers Stern Warning on Nuclear Engagement Amid Rising Tensions**
In a pivotal address to Russia's Security Council, President Vladimir Putin asserted on Wednesday that Russia might respond with nuclear weapons if it faced any form of aggression from other states. He emphasized that even a conventional attack on Russia, if supported by a nuclear-armed nation, would be deemed a unified offensive against the country.
Putin's remarks came during a high-level meeting attended by senior officials, where he discussed proposed amendments to Russia's nuclear doctrine. "It is suggested that an act of aggression against Russia by any non-nuclear state, but with the assistance or backing of a nuclear-armed state, be treated as a joint assault on the Russian Federation," Putin detailed.
Moreover, Putin outlined precise conditions under which Russia would contemplate deploying nuclear weapons. He stated that Moscow would consider such a drastic step if it detected the initiation of a large-scale strike involving missiles, aircraft, or drones.
The Russian leader also highlighted that any aggression aimed at either Russia or Belarus, including through conventional military means, could provoke a nuclear response. Putin reassured that these policy changes were carefully considered and directly addressed the contemporary military threats Russia perceives.
