### Vivek Ramaswamy Declares Intent to "Delete" Government Agencies

In a bold declaration on Sunday, Vivek Ramaswamy, newly appointed co-head of the Department of Government Efficiency, announced plans to eliminate entire government agencies. Speaking with Fox News anchor Maria Bartiromo on the program Sunday Morning Futures, Ramaswamy outlined a dramatic agenda for trimming down the federal government.

Ramaswamy, who shares his leadership role with Elon Musk, criticized the longstanding inefficacy of political efforts to reduce government size. "Over the last 40 years, even conservatives, we've talked a big game for 40 years about cutting the federal government, about reducing the scope of the federal government," he said. "Politicians haven't been able to do it. And so Elon and I, we're not politicians. We're businessmen. We're coming at it from the outside. Sometimes if you go inside, you become native to the system."

The interview delved further into the specifics of their strategy when Bartiromo questioned if departments would be closed down. Ramaswamy responded affirmatively, indicating a sweeping approach to reducing federal operations. "We expect mass reductions," he stated. "We expect certain agencies to be deleted outright. We expect mass reductions in force in areas of the federal government that are bloated. We expect massive cuts of all federal contractors and others who are overbilling the federal government. So, yes, we expect all of the above."

Ramaswamy’s remarks signal a significant shift in how government efficiency might be pursued, contrasting with previous efforts that have largely fallen short. This initiative, driven by business leaders rather than career politicians, seeks to reshape the federal landscape through substantial cuts and eliminations.
