On June 18th, Virginians across the Commonwealth are set to exercise their right to vote in the primary elections. Remember to bring a valid photo ID to vote, such as a Virginia driver's license, a Virginia DMV-issued photo ID, a United States passport, or a student photo ID issued by a Virginia educational institution.

In the U.S. Senate primary, five Republican candidates are vying for the nomination: Hung Cao, Edward C. "Eddie" Garcia Jr., Jonathan W. Emord, C.L. "Chuck" Smith Jr., and Scott Thomas Parkinson. These candidates seek an opportunity to represent Virginia in the Senate.

In Lynchburg, Vice Mayor Chris Faraldi is fighting to retain his seat against Republican candidate Peter Alexander. The outcome of this race will shape local governance in the city.
