### Morning Homicide in Northwest Austin Claims One Life, Injures Two
Early Tuesday morning, a violent incident in northwest Austin has left one person dead and two others injured. The Austin Police Department disclosed that the incident occurred at around 2:45 a.m. in the 12000 block of Research Boulevard, just south of McNeil Drive and US-183.
During a media briefing, Officer Leah Ratliff detailed that officers arrived on the scene to find two individuals with clear signs of trauma. One of these victims was transported to a local hospital, while the other was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after, at 3:01 a.m. A third individual involved in the incident sought medical attention independently and arrived at a hospital on their own.
Despite the severity of the event, police have assured the public that this was an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to community safety. Authorities are actively investigating and have urged anyone with information that could aid in the case to reach out to the homicide tip line.
