### Vice President Harris Urges Black Voters to Reconsider Trump in New Interview

In a candid interview with former NFL star Shannon Sharpe, released Monday, Vice President Kamala Harris made a compelling appeal to Black voters, urging them to rethink their support for former President Donald Trump. The interview, recorded on Thursday, touched on several key points that Harris believes make Trump unfit for the presidency.

Harris emphasized that voters should look beyond Trump’s television persona and real estate ventures, focusing instead on his suitability for the nation's highest office. She highlighted Trump’s controversial 1989 newspaper ads calling for the death penalty following the wrongful conviction of five Black and Latino teenagers, known as the Central Park Five, in the assault of a jogger in New York City. Additionally, she pointed to Trump’s role in propagating the false birtherism narrative against former President Barack Obama.

Addressing claims that she is pandering to Black voters, Harris argued that misinformation has clouded public perception of her record and intentions. She spoke about her economic policies, noting that while low Black unemployment rates are a positive sign, they should be seen as a baseline rather than a final goal. "It should be the baseline that everybody's working, that's not enough," she insisted.

Harris reiterated her commitment to adjusting federal hiring practices to consider experience as well as academic qualifications. She has previously announced plans to eliminate the college degree requirement for certain federal jobs, emphasizing the importance of evaluating skills and experience.

In an effort to engage with the community and increase voter turnout among Black men, Harris has also taped an episode for "The Breakfast Club" podcast with Charlamagne tha God, DJ Envy, and Loren LoRosa. This follows a previous appearance on the popular show on October 15.

Harris’s campaign activities also included a visit to a chemical processing facility in Saginaw, Michigan, which produces polysilicon for the semiconductor and solar industries. During the tour, she engaged with employees and inquired about the materials and processes involved, demonstrating her focus on economic and industrial issues.
