**Vendors Clash Ahead of Trump Rally at Saginaw Valley State University**
In the hours leading up to former President Donald Trump's scheduled appearance at Saginaw Valley State University, a physical altercation among vendors selling Trump memorabilia erupted, capturing the attention of attendees and officials.
The fight took place at around 10:20 a.m. near the Ryder Center for Health and Physical Education on the university’s campus in University Center, where a large crowd of more than 1,000 people had gathered in anticipation of the rally. The scuffle saw two vendors reportedly standing over another, delivering blows to his head.
The incident was swiftly addressed, with the Trump campaign confirming that all involved parties were vendors and not attendees. “The Trump campaign reports that all of the individuals involved in the altercation were vendors, none were attendees and all were ejected from the premises,” stated a campaign official via text to the Michigan Advance.
As the commotion settled, preparations continued for Trump’s rally, which was set to commence at 3 p.m. This event followed closely on the heels of two events held by his running mate, Ohio U.S. Senator J.D. Vance, who made appearances in Auburn Hills and Marne on Wednesday. Additionally, Vice President Kamala Harris was scheduled to hold a rally in Flint on Friday evening.
The incident underscores the heightened tensions and charged atmosphere often surrounding high-profile political events. Despite the skirmish, the focus remained on the impending rally and its political implications within Michigan.
