### Mysterious Drones Swarm U.S. Military Base, Baffling Pentagon

A mysterious fleet of drones infiltrated restricted airspace at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia for 17 consecutive days late last year, leaving Pentagon officials perplexed. According to a Wall Street Journal report, military personnel first spotted the unidentified drones last December.

Night after night, starting around 45 minutes to an hour post-sunset, a formation of unknown unmanned aerial vehicles invaded the base's airspace. Air Force General Mark Kelly, known for his involvement with advanced jet fighters like the F-22 Raptors, recounted his experience spotting the first drone, which measured approximately 20 feet in length and traveled at speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour, maintaining an altitude between 3,000 to 4,000 feet. General Kelly and other officers stationed on a squadron rooftop witnessed up to a dozen drones traversing Chesapeake Bay before heading towards areas like Norfolk, Virginia, and pivotal military locales such as the SEAL Team Six base and Naval Station Norfolk.

The identity of the operators behind these drones remains elusive; neither hobbyists nor international adversaries—such as China or Russia—have been ruled out. The drone incursions were serious enough to warrant the attention of President Biden, leading to a series of meetings involving the Defense Department, FBI, the Pentagon's UFO office, and various external experts. These discussions spanned two weeks in December 2023.

Fox News Digital has sought comments from the White House and the Department of Defense, but both Langley Air Force Base and the White House have yet to respond.

In a similar incident two months earlier, five mysterious drones breached the restricted airspace over a government nuclear weapons experiment site in Nevada. Four drones were detected by the Nevada National Security Site operated by the Energy Department, located outside Las Vegas, while the fifth was spotted by employees. Despite upgrades to the facility's detection system, the responsible parties for these incursions remain unidentified.
