**Ukraine Launches British Missiles Against Russia for the First Time, Amid U.S. Support**

In a significant escalation of the conflict, Ukraine has employed British-made Storm Shadow cruise missiles against military targets within Russia for the first time. Bloomberg, drawing on Western sources with knowledge of the matter, reported that this decision was influenced by Russia's enlistment of North Korean troops in its ongoing war against Ukraine.

The use of these advanced missiles was formally approved by the U.K. government, which viewed Russia's troop deployment as a serious intensification of the hostilities. While Ukraine had previously utilized Storm Shadow missiles on its own territory, this marks the first confirmed instance of their deployment across the Russian border.

This bold move follows recent developments where Russian forces conducted a counteroffensive in Kursk, which saw an incursion by Ukrainian forces in August. Concurrently, U.S. President Joe Biden authorized the use of American long-range missiles by Ukraine for operations within Russia earlier this week.

In a related development, Democratic Representative Sara Jacobs voiced her opposition to sending anti-personnel landmines to Ukraine, emphasizing the long-term dangers these weapons pose to civilians and the country's economic recovery. She highlighted President Biden’s policy change in 2022, which halted the transfer of such weapons.

Meanwhile, the regional prosecutor's office in Donetsk reported distressing news, claiming that Russian soldiers had executed two Ukrainian prisoners of war in the village of Novodmytrivka after capturing them on November 10th.

Defense Express has suggested that a Ukrainian Air Force attack using Storm Shadow missiles targeted a facility with an underground command post in the Kursk region, purportedly linked to the Russian President. The strike's proximity to a sanatorium used by Russian command underscores the high stakes and precision involved in these operations.

The Russian news outlet TASS reported that Ukrainian armed forces suffered significant losses in the Kursk area over the past day, with approximately 400 troops lost and 11 servicemen captured as prisoners of war.

The U.S. Department of Defense announced additional security assistance for Ukraine, valued at $275 million. This aid is part of the Biden Administration's strategy to reinforce Ukraine's defenses in the face of escalating conflict, marking the seventieth tranche of equipment supplied from U.S. inventories since August 2021.

On the geopolitical front, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban warned of potential further escalation in the war over the next two months while President Biden remains in office. Orban criticized Biden’s "pro-war" stance and suggested that peace initiatives would advance under a Trump administration.

Lastly, the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv has closed temporarily and issued a warning for American citizens to seek immediate shelter, citing specific intelligence of a possible significant air attack.

As tensions mount and international involvement deepens, the landscape of the Ukraine-Russia conflict continues to shift dramatically.
