DORAL, Fla. - In a tragic turn of events, two people were killed and seven others injured in a mass shooting that occurred at a Florida mall early Saturday morning. The incident took place at approximately 3:30 a.m. at Martini Bar located in CityPlace Doral.

According to reports from WTVJ, the shooting unfolded following a dispute at the bar, which quickly escalated when a security guard attempted to intervene and was fatally shot by the gunman. The chaotic scene resulted in injuries to six bystanders, consisting of two women and four men. The victims' identities have not yet been revealed.

Responding to the escalated situation, Doral police Chief Edwin Lopez stated that an officer was also wounded in a shootout with the suspect, leading to the suspect's eventual demise. Another officer who engaged in the exchange of fire emerged unharmed. The injured officer, who exhibited immense bravery and quick thinking, was treated at a hospital and later released. Chief Lopez commended the officer for applying a tourniquet on himself immediately after getting shot.
